Garmin Integration | Sync Garmin with Foodzilla
Forerunner, Fenix, Venu, Vivoactive or Instinct, every Garmin watch feeds the Garmin Connect app, and Garmin Connect can share that data with Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. Foodzilla reads steps, active calories, workouts, sleep and weight from there and shows them beside the client's food diary.
Integration Features
Garmin data beside the food diary
Foodzilla reads steps, active calories burned, workouts, sleep and weight from Apple Health or Health Connect every time the client opens the Health tab. The data shows on the same day as what they ate, so energy in and energy out sit side by side.
Meals go back the other way
When a client logs a meal in Foodzilla, the energy and nutrients are written to Apple Health or Health Connect as a nutrition record. The Garmin Connect app and any other app allowed to read nutrition data can show what they ate without a second entry.
Everything lands on your coach dashboard
Synced Garmin data reaches the client's profile on the web platform the same way manually logged data does. Workouts go in the exercise log, sleep on their sleep chart, weight on their weight chart and progress reports, calories burned into the daily energy balance and steps into their daily activity, and all of it feeds the nutrition reports.
How to Connect
Start a free 10-day Foodzilla trial and invite your client to the mobile app, or to your white label app.
In the Garmin Connect app, turn on sharing with Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android).
In the Foodzilla app, open the Health tab and allow the connection when asked. Health Connect is built into Android 14 and newer, and is a free download from Google Play on Android 9 to 13.
Each time the client opens the Health tab, Foodzilla pulls the latest steps, active calories burned, workouts, sleep and weight and writes back the meals they have logged.
Open the client's profile on the web platform to see the synced data beside their food diary and in their reports.
