Pork-Free Meal Plan
A 2,000 kcal week with no pork. Use it for religious, cultural, ethical, or health reasons, then add other rules in Foodzilla.
Why pork is out
The reason changes how you talk about the week. Common ones:
- Religion or culture. Judaism and Islam prohibit pork. Honour that as a hard rule, not a preference.
- Ethics and environment. Some clients will not eat pork for animal-welfare or farming-impact reasons.
- Health. Pork, especially processed pork, has a few problems worth naming:
- Saturated fat. Bacon and sausages are high in it, which is linked with heart disease.
- Foodborne illness. Pork can carry Salmonella and E. coli if it is mishandled or undercooked.
- Sodium and additives. Cured and processed pork is often high in both. Extra sodium pushes blood pressure up.
What is in the pork-free week
A general-use week at about 2,000 calories:
- No pork, with other proteins in its place.
- A mix of protein, vegetables, fruit, and grains.
- Easy to edit for extra rules and likes.
- Meals that work on a normal weekday.
