What is disabled on the HIPAA plan?+
The HIPAA plan runs in a locked-down environment with only core features enabled: meal planning, recipes, and food management. Client management, health tracking, messaging, email delivery, integrations (Cliniko, Zapier), files, and all other PHI-related features are fully disabled.
How do I share meal plans with patients?+
Export meal plans as PDFs and share them through your existing HIPAA-compliant systems — EHR portals, secure email, or in-person. Foodzilla handles the recipe and meal plan creation; your systems handle patient delivery.
Can I switch from a regular plan to HIPAA?+
Yes. Contact our support team and we will migrate your account to the HIPAA plan. Your recipes, meal plan templates, and team settings will be preserved. Client data and health tracking features will be disabled.
Can I switch back from a HIPAA plan?+
Active HIPAA accounts cannot self-service change plans to maintain compliance integrity. Contact our support team to discuss plan changes.
Do you sign a BAA?+
Yes. Foodzilla will sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your organization. While the HIPAA plan is designed so that no PHI enters the system, we provide this additional layer of compliance assurance.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes. All HIPAA plans include a free 10-day trial.
