Freezer-Friendly Meal Plan
A week of meals you cook once, freeze in portions, and reheat. Built for clients who will not cook from scratch on a Tuesday night.
What a freezer-friendly plan is
You cook in batches, portion into freezer-safe containers, and reheat in the microwave or oven. The week includes protein, whole grains, vegetables, legumes, and unsaturated fats.
1. Convenience. The cooking is done before the week starts.
2. Numbers. About 2,000 calories a day: 130g protein, 220g carbs, 70g fat, and 35g fibre.
3. Portions. One container is one serving, which keeps calories honest.
4. Mix. Proteins, fruit, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds across the week.
How the week is set up
Cook several days at once. Freeze in single portions. Reheat one box at a time.
Each day is about 2,000 calories with the macros above.
For stir-fries and curries, freeze the sauce and protein. Cook rice or quinoa on the day so the grain is not soggy.
Some snacks do not freeze. Make those on the day.
