Recipe Nutrition Data Source

Foodzilla offers two types of recipe databases: Dietitian-Approved Recipes and Online Recipes.

Dietitian-Approved Recipes

These recipes are created by our nutritionists using ingredients from trusted food composition databases, such as:

  • USDA (United States)
  • FSANZ (New Zealand/Australia)
  • CoFID (United Kingdom)

Note: You can use these recipes with your clients, but they should not be shared publicly on the internet.

Online Recipes

Our online recipes database includes over 1 million publicly available recipes from the internet. Each recipe provides a link to the original author for more information and cooking directions.

  • Nutrition Information: Calculated based on the ingredients and their quantities using the USDA food composition database.

Note: Dietitian-approved recipes ensure professional and accurate nutrition information, ideal for client use. Online recipes offer a vast selection but should be used with the understanding that the nutrition data is calculated from general sources.

By leveraging these recipe databases, you can provide accurate and varied nutritional options for your clients, ensuring both credibility and compliance. 🙌
