Messaging Clients

If your clients use the Foodzilla mobile app, you can send them secure, encrypted messages in real time. These messages are private and safely stored in the cloud, encrypted both in transit and at rest.

Clients receive push notifications when you send them a message and can reply through the Foodzilla mobile app or client web portal.

Please note, that this messaging feature is available exclusively to users on the Professional Plan or higher.

How to Send Messages

  1. Navigate to the "Messaging" tab.
  2. Select your client's name.
  3. Type your message in the text box and hit "Send."

👀Additional Features: You can also send pictures, files, and links in your messages.

Group Chat

Use the Groups tab to create group conversations with multiple clients.

Group chat is useful for:

• Group coaching programmes

• Challenges

• Cohort support

• Shared reminders and updates

Video Calls

The Video Calls tab lets you start a video chat directly with a client without needing a booking link.

After the call, Foodzilla can save the video chat history, summary, and suggested follow up actions in one place.

Broadcast Messages

The Broadcast feature lets you send one message to multiple clients at once.

This is useful for:

• Important announcements

• Programme updates

• Reminders

• New resources

• General client communication

Broadcast messaging is available exclusively on the White Label plan.

Enabling Web Notifications

Stay updated with real-time notifications on your web browser, so you never miss a message from your clients. Here’s how to enable them:

  1. Automatic Prompt: Accept the notification prompt that appears when you first log into the messaging tab.

  1. Manual Setup:
    • Go to Site Settings.
    • Set the notifications permission to "Allow".

Supported Browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Here are the official guides for enabling notifications:

Email Notifications

When clients send messages to you, you will be notified via email immediately. These emails are designed with privacy in mind, showing only the client's first name and excluding message content.

Availability: This feature is part of the Professional or higher plan.

Troubleshooting Web Notifications

If you're not receiving notifications, please ensure:

  • Web notifications are enabled as described above.
  • Your browser supports web notifications (see the supported browsers table in our documentation).
  • If issues persist, reset your notification settings by clicking "Reset Permission" in the site settings, and then reloading the page to allow notifications again.
