Creating and Publishing Your First Content Hub Post

A post can be a video, a set of photos, a PDF, some words, or all of those together. This is how you write one and get it in front of your clients.

Starting a post

Open Content Hub from the main menu and click New post. If the hub is empty it offers you a starting point based on how you want to share the post, which saves you a step.

The first time you open the Content Hub you are asked to confirm that every client you share content with is 18 or older. You only do this once.

Writing it

Title. Required, and it is what your clients see first, so make it say what the post is. It is also the line your clients get in their push notification.

Body. Optional, and up to 10,000 characters. A counter runs underneath so you can see where you are. Line breaks are kept, so you can lay out a list or a set of steps.

Adding media

Use Image, Video and PDF in the Media section. A post can hold up to 10 items in any mix.

  • Photos can be up to 15MB each. Several photos become a carousel your clients swipe through.
  • Videos can be up to 200MB and 15 minutes. Once uploaded they take a minute or two to process, and you can keep writing while that happens.
  • PDFs can be up to 25MB, which covers most recipe books and exported meal plans.

You can add alt text to a photo so anyone using a screen reader knows what it shows.

Tagging it

Tick any tags that apply in the Tags section, or type a new name and choose Create and apply. Tags become filter buttons for your clients, so a post tagged Recipes is easy to find again in six months.

Choosing who gets it

In the Access section pick Free, Plan Included or Pay Per View. The Reach line beside it tells you how many of your clients will get the post under the setting you picked, before you publish rather than after.

Checking it before you publish

The side panel shows you the post as a client will see it, and you can switch between the client portal and the mobile app. A paid post shows as locked in the app view, which is a good reminder that clients buy in the portal.

Publishing

Save Draft keeps it to yourself. Publish puts it live.

If you try to leave the editor with work you have not saved, whether through the menu, the breadcrumb or your browser's Back button, you are asked to confirm first.

On publish, every client who can see the post gets a push notification from you reading New post: followed by your title. Tapping it opens their Content Hub, where the new post is sitting at the top.

You can edit a live post at any time. Pressing Publish again will not send a second notification.
