🔑 8.6 Generate Recipes & Developer API
In this update, we’ve added some of our most requested features, including Recipe Generation, Zoom Integration, improved Group Chats with Reactions, and a new Developer API to connect Foodzilla with the tools you already use.
🚀 What's New in Platform v8.6
✨ Generate a Recipe
Describe the dish you want, like a high-protein Thai chicken curry for two, and Foodzilla creates the recipe for you. Ingredients are matched to our food database for accurate nutrition, and you can review, swap, search, or remove any matches before saving. Cooking steps and a photo are included, and your finished recipe is saved to My Recipes, ready to add to meal plans. Available on the Professional plan and above.
💬 Group Chats, Reactions and More
Group chat is now in the coach app, so you can message a whole group in one conversation. React to any message with a thumbs up, heart or laugh, and when a new message arrives while you are working elsewhere in Foodzilla, a notification pops up in the corner so you never miss it.
📬 Stay on Top of Your Messages
Conversations now sort by latest activity, so whoever wrote last is at the top. Read a message between appointments but want to deal with it later? Mark it as unread and it goes back on your list. We have also improved notification delivery across all of our apps.
🎥 Zoom for Everyone
Our Zoom app has been approved in the Zoom marketplace, so the waiting is over. Connect Zoom from the Integrations page and pick it as the location for any booking type, just like Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.
💵 Charge for Bookings Without Stripe
You can now put a price on a meeting type and collect the payment in person or through your own billing. Clients see the price when they book, confirm without paying online, and their confirmation tells them what they owe and who to pay. Card payments through Stripe still work exactly as before.
🔑 Developer API (Beta)
Build your own integrations on top of Foodzilla. Generate an API key from the Integrations page, where it is shown once and can be regenerated or revoked whenever you need. Available on the White Label and Team plans.
🎛️ Choose What Each Client Sees
New toggles in App Experience let you shape the client experience. Switch off the mobile app for a client while keeping their portal access, for lighter memberships such as recipes-only. You can also hide forms, invoices, and appointments for clients who don't need them.
