How to Message Clients in Foodzilla
If your clients use the Foodzilla mobile app or Client Web Portal, you can send them secure messages directly from the Messaging page.
Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest, and clients can reply from the mobile app or Client Web Portal. Clients can also receive push notifications when you send them a new message.
Please note, that this messaging feature is available exclusively to users on the Professional Plan or higher.
How to Send a Message
- Go to Messaging.
- Open the My Clients tab.
- Select the client you want to message.
- Type your message in the text box.
- Click Send.
You can also send images, files, and links through chat.
You can also react to messages with options such as a thumbs up, heart, or laugh, making it easy to acknowledge a client without sending another message.
Group Chat
Use the Groups tab to create a conversation with multiple clients.
Click Create Group, enter a group name, select the clients you want to include, then create the group.
Group chat is useful for:
• Group coaching programmes
• Challenges
• Cohort support
• Shared reminders and updates
Group Chats are available on the White Label plan and above.
Video Calls
The Video Calls tab lets you start a video chat directly with a client without needing to create a booking first.
Select a client and click New video chat or Start a video chat.
After the call, the video chat history can appear in the same area along with the call summary and suggested follow up actions.
Email Clients
The Emails tab lets you send emails directly to individual clients.
Select a client and click Send email. Emails sent through Foodzilla, including client invitations, meal plans, forms, and other messages, can be viewed from the client's email history.
You can also use Broadcasts from the Emails tab to email multiple clients at once.
Broadcast Messages
The Broadcast feature lets you send a message to multiple clients at once.
This is useful for:
• Important announcements
• Programme updates
• Reminders
• New resources
• General client communication
Broadcast messaging is available exclusively on the White Label plan.
Conversations Are Sorted by Latest Activity
Foodzilla automatically sorts conversations by their most recent activity.
When a client sends a new message, their conversation moves toward the top of your list. This makes it easier to see which clients have contacted you most recently without manually checking every chat.
How to Mark a Conversation as Unread
If you open a message but want to return to it later, you can mark the conversation as unread.
- Go to Messaging.
- Find the client conversation in the left sidebar.
- Click the circle icon on the right side of the conversation.
- The conversation will be marked as unread so you can easily come back to it later.
This is useful when you read a message between appointments or while working on something else but still need to follow up.
