Content Hub File Types, Sizes and Limits
Everything the Content Hub accepts, and how big it can be. If an upload is refused, the answer is almost always on this page.
What a post can hold
| Item | Limit |
|---|---|
| Items in one post | 10, in any mix of videos, photos and PDFs |
| Video file size | 200MB |
| Video length | 15 minutes |
| Photo file size | 15MB |
| PDF file size | 25MB |
| Post text | 10,000 characters |
A post does not need media at all. A title and some words is a perfectly good post.
How long 200MB of video actually is
It depends entirely on what you recorded in. As a rough guide, 200MB is about:
- 1 minute at 4K
- 3 minutes at 1080p
- 5 minutes at 720p
The editor shows you the same figures next to the upload button, and tells you if a file is over the line before it starts uploading.
If your video is too big, the quickest fix is to record or export at a lower resolution. 1080p is plenty for a phone screen, and 720p is fine for a talking head.
Videos take a minute to process
After a video finishes uploading it has to be processed before it can play. The editor shows you the progress and you can carry on writing while it runs. It usually takes a minute or two.
If processing fails, the file is the likely problem. Try a different export.
Photos and PDFs
Photos go straight up. Several photos in one post become a carousel your clients swipe through.
PDFs work well for recipe books, handouts and exported meal plans. On every surface a PDF shows as a row with the file name and a button, rather than a picture, because a PDF has no useful cover.
You can add alt text to a photo so anyone using a screen reader knows what it shows. It is optional and worth doing.

Pinned posts
You can pin up to 3 posts to the top of the hub at a time. Unpin one to pin another.
Recording video in the coach app
The coach app hands off to your phone's own camera. On iPhone it records at 720p, which keeps a few minutes of footage comfortably inside the 200MB limit. On Android the recording quality is whatever your camera app is set to, so a 4K clip can hit the limit in about a minute. The app checks the size and tells you before it uploads either way.
